Vjosa Osmani: "Little Schengen", big mistake (Blic, KTV)

LDK candidate for Prime Minister Vjosa Osmani called the idea of the Balkan "mini-Schengen", agreed Thursday by Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic, Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama, and Northern Macedonia Prime Minister Zoran Zaev, "a big mistake."

- I think it's an accident that something like that happened. I do not know if Prime Minister Rama consulted with anyone in Kosovo before reaching such an agreement, however, it is a total mistake - Osmani told Pristina based KTV's Rubicon show.

Pacolli: Haradinaj is stubborn, all the others would abolish tariffs on Serbian goods (KTV, B92, Beta)

Kosovo Foreign Affairs Minister Behgjet Pacolli said that any other politician elected for the new Prime Minister would abolish tariffs, except Ramush Haradinaj.

"I repeat, winner of the election, the future prime minister who says he will keep the tariffs, is lying. I exclude Haradinaj from this because I know him as stubborn and when he fixates on something, you cannot change a thing. He does not change his position easily," Pacolli told KTV, quotes Belgrade based agency Beta.

Political analyst Veton Surroi says Serbian List produced by Vucic and Thaci (KoSSev, N1, KTV)

Kosovo publicist and political analyst Veton Surroi said on Friday that the Serb List was created by the Presidents of Serbia and Kosovo, Aleksandar Vucic and Hashim Thaci.

The Serbian List is a Kosovo Serb party whose officials, including at least one person alleged to have criminal connections, enjoy the full support of official Belgrade.

The new Criminal Code provides for a life sentence for paedophilia (RTK2, KTV)

More than 100 minors, under the age of 16, have been sexually harassed in Kosovo over the past two years, reports RTK2, citing KTV.

Sexual intercourse with a person under the age of 16 is punishable by the Criminal Code, but it does not explicitly mention the term "paedophilia".

Ismet Salihu, professor of criminal law, who is part of the Working Group working on amendments to the Kosovo Criminal Code, explains why paedophilia is not precisely defined as a criminal offense.

Kosovo Assembly Vice President Xhavit Haliti said that Pristina and Belgrade would not be asked much about the agreement on normalizing relations between Kosovo and Serbia.

He told Pristina based KTV that a legally binding agreement would be reached this year, and only thanks to the high pressure of Western diplomacy, reports KIM radio.

Released five Serbs arrested this morning in the action of Kosovo special police (RTS)

Members of the special forces of the Kosovo police, armed with long pipes, arrested and then released five Serbs.

The police this morning infiltrated the premises of the Cultural and Educational Center "Bozidar Mitrovic Sandor" in Silovo near Gnjilane and searched several houses in that town.

Gjukaj: Citizens did not only pay for electricity in the north but for all Serb-majority areas (Koha)

Director of the Kosovo Energy Corporation (KEK), Arben Gjukaj, told KTV that citizens of Kosovo were not only charged for unpaid electricity in the north but for all areas with Serb majority. Gjukaj said that unpaid bills were sent to both UNMIK and the government of Kosovo. “After independence, one bill went to UNMIK and one to the government of Kosovo. Citizens of Kosovo did not pay only for the north but for all Serb enclaves in Kosovo,” Gjukaj said.

Two properties owned by Albanians attacked in the north (Koha/Klan Kosova)

A store owned by an Albanian resident of “Kodra e Minatoreve” neighbourhood in the northern part of Mitrovica was stoned last night as well as a house further down the street owned by Cerani family. Nysret Cerani, owner of the house, told KTV that at the time the house was stoned he also heard gunshots being fired and alleged that members of the Serb community are behind the attack.

Kurti on Thaci: You have to be a unifying person to set up a unity team (Koha)

In an interview to KTV, Vetevendosje MP Albin Kurti said President of Kosovo Hashim Thaci is the person who has the least right to initiate the setting up of a unity team to represent Kosovo in talks with Serbia. “You have to be a unifying person to create a unity team. If there is one person that has no legitimacy to set up a unity team, that is Thaci,” Kurti said. He also noted that Kosovo should wait for the outcome of the internal dialogue in Serbia on Kosovo and “not interfere in Serbia’s internal affairs like Serbia does in Kosovo’s.”
