Stojanović complains UNMIK has no competencies (Koha)

Kosovo’s Deputy Prime Minister, Branimir Stojanović said in an interview for the Belgrade paper Večernje Novosti that it is a bad thing UNMIK is excluded from processes in Kosovo and added that it is good EULEX is present to control local institutions. “Agreement on the process of transfer of competencies from international missions to Kosovo ones has been achieved through Albanian politicians and EU representatives. We fear this process will continue althout EULEX, in its present format, in the aspect of protection of Serbs’ interests, not even close manages to fulfill their interests”, Stojanović said. He said the gradual transfer of competencies from international to local institutions in Kosovo “was introduced when it was decided that EU should install a mission, namely when it was decided for UNMIK to be excluded from nearly all processes in Kosovo”.
