Demarcation, after solving all issues (Koha/RFE)

Kosovo Assembly Deputy Speaker and senior member of the Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK), Xhavit Haliti, told Radio Free Europe that the issue of border-demarcation with Montenegro remains a problem because there are two sides of the story. “On one hand we have the government saying everything is okay, and on the other hand we have opposition parties saying that Kosovo is losing territory with this agreement. The MPs should discuss this issue and clarify things, otherwise I don’t believe the agreement will have the necessary votes to be ratified,” Haliti said, adding that opposition should initiate such debate in the Assembly. Meanwhile, opposition parties representatives say they will oppose this agreement by all means. The Alliance for the Future of Kosovo (AAK) MP, Daut Haradinaj, told the news site that the AAK will not return to the Assembly, but will continue to oppose the border-demarcation agreement in other forms.
