The leader of the Vetëvendosje movement, Visar Ymeri, requested at today’s session of the Kosovo Assembly voting of a resolution, through which Kosovo could apply for “355” telephone prefix. Ymeri called on the MPs to vote the proposed resolution, being that, according to him, this would help development of the telecommunication trade and approximation with Albania. He has requested from the government of Kosovo to initiate immediately, without any delay, negotiations with the Government of the Republic of Albania on replacement of the telephone prefixes based on resolution for replacement of the telephone codes.

 He said that after this, the Prime Minister of Kosovo should report to the Assembly, not later than the end of the first month after voting of the resolution. After the reporting, the Presidency of the Assembly should submit the request and the resolution to the Albanian Parliament.
