Raskovic-Ivic: Internal dialogue on Kosovo looked like monologue (FoNet, RTS)

Deputy Leader of People’s Party, Sanda Raskovic-Ivic said the Serbian President and head of the Serbian Progressive Party (SNS) Aleksandar Vucic by announcing a referendum on Kosovo wants to make all citizens accomplices “in the greatest disgrace of the Serbian history – surrender of Kosovo,” Serbian media reported. “Vucic has no platform given by the government, let alone the Assembly, to talk about and makes agreement on Kosovo. He refers to the internal dialogue that looked more like a monologue,” Raskovic-Ivic said. She added that “the People’s Party in order to prevent blitzkrieg which is being prepared with a referendum, has decided to collect signatures against the agreement that would enable Kosovo to get a seat in the UN.” “This initiative aims to show to the Serbian and international public, as well as to Vucic himself, how many people are opposing the signing of an agreement with Kosovo and its membership in the UN,” she underlined. According to her, Vucic engaged in the adventure of delineation without asking or consulting anyone in the country and “seems abroad as well.” “He faced a political fiasco, and for that he accuses the opposition and part of the Serbian Orthodox Church. He is hiding behind statements on calling a referendum, so people can declare themselves.” Raskovic-Ivic added. She also asked how such a referendum would look like under current media conditions, when everyone who points to Vucic breaching the Constitution is being “labeled, dragged through the mud and satanized by the media.”
