Dacic: One of the ideas is a delimitation, but certain we will not discuss two things (TV Pink, Blic)
Foreign Minister of Serbia Ivica Dacic says that a solution is sought for the Kosovo issue and that a delimitation with the Albanians is just one idea, but that there are no other ideas.
He added that everyone now is opening the door to dialogue, but that there will certainly not be a discussion of two things - for Kosovo to be autonomous within Serbia and Serbia to recognize unilaterally declared Kosovo.
- A compromise is sought. We are now at that stage, but the question arises as to what a compromise is. Delimitation is one of the ideas. But there are no other ideas. That is why the avalanche of resistance is in Pristina and Belgrade, Dacic told TV Pink, reports Belgrade daily Blic.
He assessed that and the EU is also displeased with the idea, as it shows that they, however, have quickly recognized the independence of Kosovo and now must question their decisions. According to him, viewed from the perspective of political analysts, if the dialogue does not go in that direction, it can be expected that pressure will continue on Serbia to recognize Kosovo as it is, and the north to belong to Kosovo.
"New winds blow in the US"
- That pressure will be manifested by slowing down the path to the EU - Dacic explained, adding that it may also lead to the possibility that somebody in Kosovo make plans for the Kosovo "Storm", that Serbia may have to react to it, maybe enter conflict with KFOR, that Serbia seeks Russia's help ...
According to him, "new winds blow" in the US now, opening the possibility for Serbs and Albanians to find a compromise solution.
- These things I'm talking about, did not fall from the sky, we are looking for years for it. Our goal is the international conference, and that apart from the EU, everyone will be the guarantor of what has been agreed upon. Serbia will maintain military neutrality - said Dacic.
According to him, those who oppose delimitation should know that a comprehensive Kosovo is only possible as an independent state.
- We will never give the north of KiM, there is no dilemma. What else can we do? We do not have a territorial connection so that all Serb-populated areas remain in Serbia, Dacic said.
