Trajkovic: Serbia must not recognize Kosovo (Danas, NIN, N1)
Serbia cannot recognize the independence of Kosovo, because if it does, neither region nor Serbia will receive anything, said president of the European Movement in Kosovo Rada Trajkovic to the Belgrade based weekly NIN and estimated that this would lead to destabilization of Serbia, reports Belgrade based daily Danas.
She said that in Kosovo, in a silence, some honest people are shifted from some positions, and the mafia is brought in "and everyone behaves in a sense - let's shake off Kosovo, so let that mafia fix it." But you see what happened, the mafia spread all over Serbia, it's a system that assumes power.
Danas reports that Trajkovic said to the weekly that six people were killed in the north, and the president praised that there were no more killings in Kosovo, and added, “only now we are not killed by Albanians, but by Serbs". She pointed out that she was very unhappy about the murder of Oliver Ivanovic, because it seemed that much more could be done to save him, but it wasn't. She repeated what late Oliver said to the BIRN journalist himself - remember this name.
Trajkovic said that often she was warned of saying things too sharply but added that she was ready to pay any price because we did not save Oliver, Danas reported.
The daily Danas also quoted Trajkovic as saying to the weekly that Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic governed Serbia as East Germany. He returned the old structures of the State Security, installed a ruthless Stasi system and that what she was afraid of. All who think differently are enemies, Trajkovic pointed out to the weekly NIN, Danas reported.
