US Congress delegation tells Serbian president to arrest retired policeman (Blic, FoNet, N1)
A bi-partisan US Congress delegation has demanded the arrest of former senior Serbian police officer Goran Radosavljevic aka Guri over the killing of three Kosovo Albanian US citizens in 1999, Belgrade daily Blic said on Monday.
The delegation met with President Aleksandar Vucic during last week’s security conference in Munich to demand Radosavljevic’s arrest and extradition.
The former police general and founder of the Serbian Gendarmerie has been accused of involvement in the killing of the three Bytyqi brothers who were executed and buried on the grounds of a training facility that was under his command. He was never indicted for the crime. He has been banned from entering the US.
An unnamed source told the newspaper that the meeting was a difficult one with the Americans insisting more on the Bytyqi case than on Kosovo.
