Fabrizi on Kosovo's recognition: You know what the position of EU is, I do not comment the statements from the US (Blic)
The head of the European Union Delegation to Serbia Sem Fabrizi did not want to comment the views of "other parties", even the stance of the US on Kosovo, he just reiterated that Brussels was committed to reaching an agreement that will be legally binding, with full normalization of relations, reports Belgrade based daily Blic.
He said, when asked to comment on a recent statement by US State Undersecretary for Political Affairs David Hale "that the US position is a mutually sustainable recognition of Kosovo and Serbia ".
- You know the attitude of the European Union on the recognition of Kosovo, it is clear. We are in favour of reaching an agreement that will be legally binding, with full normalization of relations, Fabrizi told reporters.
Fabrizi said that he did not want to comment the views of other parties or the possible outcome of the dialogue.
Blic recalls that Hale said in Pristina several days ago that Kosovo is "in front of a key step" on the path to a prosperous future, and that a way to achieve this is a "comprehensive, mutually beneficial agreement between Serbia and Kosovo," in which the key role is played by "sustainable mutual recognition ".
