Aleksandar Vucic is unlikely to win majority support for signing anything around Kosovo, Ipsos consultant Srdjan Bogosavljevic told Belgrade based news agency FoNet.

Bogosavljevic assessed that that the number of negative points increased for the Serbian president, while a possible loss in the referendum would be a blow to pro-European ideas and "very possible turning the pendulum to the other side".

Asked if Vucic's rating would decline if he signs or decides to accept a solution to Kosovo, he replied that Kosovo was "absolutely the most serious thing" that Serbia has and that "nothing of importance even is close to it".

Signing anything will be "a challenge for Vucic, in which he will find it difficult to get the support of the majority," Bogosavljevic said, adding that the question would be how would it go "even in such circumstances of controlled media''.

According to him, "there is no mood in the country for a legally binding agreement and, if Vucic decides to do so, he and his party would have to work hard on public opinion".

As Bogosavljevic explained, "it is not a problem for people to vote for Vucic, but they will have a problem for voting for something that is most important and necessary for Serbia."
