The Ministry for Trade and Industry of Kosovo reported that deadline for submission of offers for the Brezovica Resort Development Project, which was previously set for 7 July, is extended to 9 September 2014.

Inter-Ministerial Steering Committee carried that deadline is extended due to multiple requests of all companies to be granted with additional time for collection of the necessary documentation.

The Committee decided that such requests are legitimate, thus, it extended the deadline to 9 September and added that extension of deadline to pre-qualified companies will influence the quality of offers and would improve the competition.

Five companies have pre-qualified for construction of Brezovica Resort at Sara Mountain, amongst them and Miodrag Kostic’s MK Group.

Kosovo government has issued a public announcement for Expression of Interest in January in international newspapers calling foreign companies to express their interest for construction of the expanded touristic center in Brezovica, or to rent it in 99 years period.
