Thank you for maternity ward, but give us jobs (Danas)

“Thank you for the maternity ward, but give us work places,” was a comment of few locals in Pasjane, in Kosovo Pomoravlje (eastern Kosovo) populated by several thousand Serbs, who gathered to see the Serbian Prime Minister, Aleksandar Vucic, who paid his first visit to that Kosovo village and opened the maternity ward.

On Vucic’s messages that Serbia won’t forget this part of Kosovo, and that Serbs should stay and live there and save their homes, no matter on how difficult it could be, part of gathered locals said to Danas correspondent that this is something what all prime ministers used to say, but to no avail. “Their voice from Gračanica or Mitrovica could be heard here as well, but neither they remember us nor will we stay here if we find jobs outside of Serbia,” said locals. They also said that there are no jobs for Albanians either, and that they are leaving Kosovo too.
