Pavicevic: Normalization is happening every day (Blic)
The normalization of relations between Belgrade and Pristina happens every day, said today liaison officer of the Government of Serbia in Pristina, Dejan Pavicevic, pointing out that it is important that this process takes place.
- Although a lot has been implemented, there is still much to be applied - said Pavicevic at the panel discussion "Four years of negotiations: the normalization of relations between Belgrade and Pristina."
- People who watch from the side maybe see this process as too slow, but it is not so - Pavicevic said, recalling that 2015 began with signing agreements on Judiciary, and that yesterday was held an informal meeting of ministers in Pristina, which was attended by Serbian Vice Presidents Ivica Dacic, and Zorana Mihajlovic.
- I do not agree that 2014 was absolutely year of stagnation. All sorts of things were done last year at the technical level and it has been a small problem to wait for the formation of the government in Pristina - said Pavicevic.
He believes that it is important that this process is taking place and is moving.
- Is there a normalization, I think it's something that happens every day and goes into a better direction - Pavicevic said, adding that this is not a ground for collecting political points.
Comparing the beginning of a dialogue with the birth of a child, Pavicevic said that for the past four years the child has learned to speak, to walk, but should take care of him as it will enter into puberty when problems come.
Pavicevic said that there is still a lot of work and pointed out that the agreements that were brought "hastily and under pressure" were the most difficult for implementation, without specifying which agreements are in question.
