Job with a diploma from the University of Northern Mitrovica (RTK2, Koha Ditore)

The Kosovo government has expressed its intention to accept cadres from the University of North Mitrovica into public institutions, relocated after the war in Pristina.

"Koha Ditore" reports that the draft provides for the introduction of the University of Mitrovica into legal flows, and the government of Kosovo say they have a constructive approach in two directions.

The first involves a review of the compatibility of the Statute of the University of Mitrovica and harmonization with the central laws in order to integrate into Kosovo's legal framework.

The second direction involves the creation of a temporary mechanism that will allow the acceptance of applications for jobs in the public service of persons with diplomas of the University of Mitrovica, in anticipation of the full integration of the University of Mitrovica into Kosovo's legal system.

"Koha Ditore" in a critical tone writes about the government's decision, claiming that it was about "illegal institution of higher education".

"Contrary to the law, diplomas issued by these institutions will become valid. A draft document that was adopted last week came from a government cabinet. Page 36 explains the necessity of finding a solution that will allow students who graduated in this institution that operates in the north inhabited by Serbs, to apply for vacancies for employment," writes the paper.
