The dialogue affects the integration of Serbia (Blic)
The head of the negotiating team for negotiations on Serbia's accession to the EU, Tanja Miscevic said today that between Belgrade and Pristina, there is no agreement on the status of Community/Association of Serbian municipalities in Kosovo and added that this dialogue affects the European integration of our country.
"We are not hostages of this dialogue. From the moment we started discussing in the negotiating framework on how to arrange that relationship between the dialogue on the normalization and the membership negotiations, we knew it would not be easy, because not everything depends from the EU and its Member States but also from Pristina," said Miscevic.
After the presentation of the publication "Guide for Chapter 31- Common foreign and security policy" in the hotel "Crowne Plaza" in Belgrade, she pointed out that it is important to specify the mechanism in order to avoid unnecessary stopping or delaying negotiations.
Miscevic reminded that the talks will continue in Brussels the following week.
"There is good will on our part to continue those discussions and we hope that this will unblock the negotiations," she added.
On the question whether attitude of Prime Minister, Aleksandar Vucic, that he will not give Gazivode, may stop the European integration, Miscevic said that "emphasis of his own firm stance cannot stop anything but only to define the negotiating position of one side , i.e. the Serbian side".
