Mihajlovic: ZSO will not be the new Republika Srpska (RTS)
Director of the Office of Media Relations, Milivoje Mihajlovic told RTS that Pristina should not delay the formation of the Community/Association of Serbian municipalities. He adds that only the essential solution could lead to peace.
"The community was supposed to be formed before the local election, then before the parliamentary elections ... All the time Pristina has managed to delay it. Last month they avoided talking about it, and now for the first time Pristina announced that there will be talks about it," says Mihalović for the RTS 1.
As he says, it is not a compromise, but the formation of a strong body that will represent the interests of Serbs in Kosovo.
"I do not expect that a non-governmental organization will be formed or a new Republika Srpska. I expect an agreement, that documents are collected and that the ZSO starts to work," says Director of the Office for Media relations.
A body which will be formed and where Serbs will gather to determine their interests bothers the Albanian side.
"Pristina is trying, to blackmail the international community, to avoid the formation," Mihajlovic added.
When it comes to telecommunications and energy, Mihajlovic expects progress on these issues.
"Pristina has its own interpretation of the Brussels Treaty and in every topic wants to draw out what it suits them. This is unacceptable. People who are leading these talks, above all, the EU, need to put things in their place," says Mihajlovic.
Speaking about the formation of the Special Court for crimes of the KLA, Director of the Office of Media Relations said that there is strong pressure from Brussels on Pristina to form the court.
"One part of the Pristina political scene is trying to abuse it as a lever to pressure the EU - we will form the Court, and you press Serbia in the negotiations," said Mihajlovic.
