Mihajlovic: Kosovo is further from independence than in 2008 (RTS)

The Director of Radio Belgrade Milivoje Mihajlovic told RTS that Kosovo is further from independence than it was eight years ago, when independence was unilaterally declared. According to Mihajlovic, the authorities in Pristina have spent their time diverting attention away from the economic situation by building animosity towards the Serbs, adding that at 50 percent, Kosovo has the highest unemployment rate in Europe, almost non-existent exports, with around 150,000 people having fled Kosovo.

Mihajlovic: Unifying role of the ZSO (RTS)

A long time reporter from Kosovo Milivoje Mihajlovic said that not many things changed since June, when it comes to the Brussels talks. The only thing which changed is orientation of the EU to push for solving the topic. According to him, this is not an agreement about the Community/Association of the Serb municipalities (ZSO) but an agreement that Pristina stop denying it, since the agreement on ZSO was reached in 2013. "All agreements from Brussels are fulfilled except this one.

Director of the Government Office for Cooperation with the media Milivoje Mihajlovic hopes that the visit of German Chancellor Angela Merkel to Belgrade will be in favour of good neighbourly relations in the region and good relations between Serbia and Germany.

"The interest of Germany for the regional cooperation is huge and it will be the main topic. What brings Merkel, according to Western media, is to speed up the region to the EU with regional cooperation and resolving the remaining issues," said Mihajlovic in the RTS news.

"West was deeply involved in Bosnian war" - govt. official (B92)

The British resolution on Srebrenica, "whatever it will be like," does not contribute to reconciliation at this point in time.

This is what head of the Serbian government's media office Milivoje Mihajlovic told the state broadcaster RTS on Monday.

Ahead of Tuesday's debate on the Srebrenica resolution at the UN Security Council, Mihajlovic said that "the international community, i.e. the West, was deeply involved in the war in Bosnia-Herzegovina."

Mihajlovic: ZSO will not be the new Republika Srpska (RTS)

Director of the Office of Media Relations, Milivoje Mihajlovic told RTS that Pristina should not delay the formation of the Community/Association of Serbian municipalities. He adds that only the essential solution could lead to peace.

"The community was supposed to be formed before the local election, then before the parliamentary elections ... All the time Pristina has managed to delay it. Last month they avoided talking about it, and now for the first time Pristina announced that there will be talks about it," says Mihalović for the RTS 1.

Goal is to force Serbs to leave talks" (RTS, Tanjug, B92)

"The essential objective" of the latest developments in Kosovo is for Serbs to leave "the negotiations and local institutions," says Milivoje Mihajlovic.

"Pristina does not want agreement. The aim of Albanian extremists is for Serbs leave the Kosovo government and for that to be an excuse to continue on the path they took so far," said the director of the Serbian Government Office of Media Relations.
