Continuation of dialogue in Brussels, major issues still on the table (RTS)
Delegation Belgrade and Pristina, headed by Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic and Isa Mustafa, met in Brussels for the second time in less than seven days in order to continue the dialogue on unresolved major issues. Two delegations have entered the building of the European External Action Service without speaking to reporters.
EU High Representative for Foreign and Security Policy Federica Mogherini met first with Pristina delegation, led by Kosovo Prime Minister Isa Mustafa.
On the table, as well as last week, four major issues: the Community of Serbian municipalities, telecommunications, energy and "Peace Park".
US Ambassador to Belgrade Michael Kirby said in an interview for Tanjug that the Mogherini, if there is a breakthrough today in the dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina, could propose the opening of the first chapter in the accession negotiations between Serbia and the EU.
And European Commissioner for Neighbourhood Policy and Enlargement Negotiations Johannes Hahn said he was "optimistic" and "confident that during the next round will be sufficient progress that member states give the green light to Serbia to open the first negotiation chapters before the end of the year."
