Vucic and Rama will discuss the future of the Balkans (Danas)
Zvezdana Kovac, Executive Director of the Centre for Democracy and Reconciliation in Southeast Europe from Thessaloniki (CDRS) will host premieres of Serbia and Albania in a TV show "Okruzenje".
This idea has been long there, to have premieres of Serbia and Albania, Aleksandar Vucic and Edi Rama in the show. Because they are among the most influential figures, at least in these areas and to host not just these two prime ministers, but also premieres from other countries in the region, this is what Zvezdana Kovac said to Danas. Together with the Spokesperson of the Regional Cooperation, Nenad Sebek she will host premiers of Albania and Serbia. This will be the first joint appearance in electronic media and the show will be recorded in Vienna during the Second Conference on the Western Balkans.
Zvezdana Kovac said that "Okruzenje" aims to introduce a healthy debate and exchange of views as the primary and only means of solving problems. She also mentioned that the fact that Vucic and Rama, together with the Secretary General of the Regional Cooperation, Goran Svilanovic, accepted the invitation, she interpreted as a good sign of support for such policy.
Speaking about the main themes of the show, Kovac pointed out that the two prime ministers will discuss "relations between the two countries, how they see the future of the Balkans, how the past not be an obstacle to constructive cooperation, and how young people can live in a region full of incentive challenges, not obstacles and conflicts.”
- They showed the desire and willingness to cooperate, and to take responsibility for a common future in spite of the long history of misunderstanding, lack of democratic culture, war and crimes. In addition, they see young people as bearers of this process, so in the show will be discussed the initiative for the formation of the Union of Youth of the Western Balkans which the two prime ministers have fully supported - indicates interlocutor of Danas.
