Serbian Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic will ask the participants of Vienna summit on the Western Balkans to support currently the most important joint infrastructure project -the highway Nis-Pristina-Durres, was said today in the Cabinet of Prime Minister of Serbia. In PM delegation will be also Serbian Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ivica Dacic and Minister of Economy, Dusan Vujovic.

"Calming the tensions in the region and greater economic unity, which means rapid flow of goods, services and capital in the region of the Western Balkans will be the main message of the Serbian PM in Vienna. The Prime Minister will require from all participants to agree," was stated from the PM’s cabinet.

To the remark that at such gatherings the agreements are reached in principle and that those are general topics without concretization, officials from the PM office said: “These are specific infrastructure projects. In order to implement them, we request funding for their implementation."

As the media had previously reported, the upcoming summit on the Western Balkans, which is held on 27 August in Vienna as a continuation of the Berlin process from August last year will be opened by Chancellor Werner Faymann. As in the case of Berlin summit, the meeting will be held behind closed doors. The Summit will be attended by prime ministers, foreign ministers and ministers of economy of the Western Balkans. As announced, one of the main topics will be the issue of immigrants.
