Ivanovic's lawyer expects a just verdict (TV Most)

We have come to the stage of the trial where we finished interrogation of the prosecution witnesses, and that's what we have long hoped for, to stop stalling of the process, said Nebojsa Vlajic, lawyer of the CI SDP leader Oliver Ivanovic.

"Of the 55 prosecution witnesses, none of them have directly accused Oliver Ivanovic, for anything that is related to the subject of the indictment," said Vlajic.

He added that they have had in the past two weeks ten witnesses, as the defenders of Ivanovic.

"These are credible and responsible people who spoke about his movements and activities during 1999 and 2000, about days that are relevant to the indictment. This week we started with the examination of defence witnesses of Dragoljub Delibasic, who is the second defendant in this case, and I expect that for two or three weeks we will finish with defence witnesses," concluded Vlajić.

Vlajic expects the process to go faster, and that verdict will be made for two to three months. As for the verdict, Vlajic says that he expects it to be fair, and that is acquittal.

The trial against Oliver Ivanovic, leader of the CI SDP, began on 18 December 2014.
