Simić and O'Connell: The A/CSM is not a threat (KIM radio)
UK Ambassador to Pristina, Ruairi O'Connell and President of the Serbian List, Slavko Simić discussed the current issues and problems in Kosovo.
The Assosiation/Community of Serb municipalities does not represent a threat and implementation of the agreements is of general interest, they agreed.
As announced by the Serbian List, O'Connell pointed out the need for better communication between all political parties participating in the Assembly of Kosovo in order to solve effectively the key problem of the citizens.
Simić informed O'Connell about the problems over the distribution of the budget to the municipalities with Serbian majority, with which the municipalities face due to the boycott of the 2011 census. Simić said that this causes to reduce the legitimacy of the Serbian representatives in the local institutions.
"The solution to this problem of the Serbian community would be to repeat the census in six municipalities in southern Kosovo and Metohija and Simic has sought full support of the ambassadors for this," stated the Serbian List.
