The MP of the Serbian List in the Kosovo assembly Nenad Rašić said that the team, or working group, for drafting the Statute of the Association / Community of Serb Municipalities (A/CSM) had not yet been formed. Rašić said that the stories about the formation of such a team are speculation. "The media reported that this team should supposedly consist of four mayors from northern Kosovo. This is untrue. Such a concept would be incorrect, because then in the team would work only people from the north of Kosovo," said Rašić.

“The situation in Kosovo is not so bad, if you take into account what has been done so far,”' said the EU Special Representative in Kosovo, Samuel Zbogar, adding that he primarily think about the Stabilization and Association Agreement, Brussels agreement, the integration of the north, the visa liberalization process and the admission of Kosovo to international organizations.

Minister of Labour, Employment, Veteran and Social Affairs of the Republic of Serbia Aleksandar Vulin said that the Serbs must have the Association / Community of Serb municipalities (A/CSM), because that is the essence of the Brussels agreement and a guarantee of the existence of Serbs in Kosovo and Metohija. "Serbs cannot be dependent on one's good will. The Brussels agreement was signed so that A/CSM could be created.

"In drafting the statute of the Association / Community of Serb Municipalities (A/CSM) will work the management team, as agreed in Brussels. Only this is undisputable, the rest are calculations," said Branimir Stojanović on the occasion of the writing of Pristina daily Zeri that Mayors, in close cooperation with the Kosovo Ministry for Local Government Administration and OSCE, will work on the draft of the statute for A/CSM.   "What is certain is that bigger number of people will work on draft statute and give suggestions," he said.

‘Serbs will have an influence on the formation of the Association / Community of Serb Municipalities (A/CSM), since the establishment would be meaningless without it.’ This is how Branimir Stojanović, Kosovo's deputy prime minister commented on the statement of Hashim Thaçi, President of the interim institutions in Pristina, on Belgrade’s role in this process. Thaci announced that soon will be formed a working group for the A/CSM, but that Serbian representatives will not participate in it.

Director of the Serbian Government Office for Kosovo and Metohija Marko Ɖurić met today with Assistant Secretary-General for Peacekeeping Operations El-Ghassim Wane and introduced him with the process of the dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina.  "It is necessary to restore confidence in the dialogue, and it can be reached only through implementation of the agreement on the establishment of Association / Community of Serb Municipalities (A/CSM)," said Ɖurić.

Director of the Serbian Government Office for Kosovo and Metohija Marko Đurić received today senior official of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Australia Kevin Magee, with whom he discussed the Serb-Australian relations, stressing the important role of the Serbian diaspora in the relations between the two countries. Đurić introduced Magee with the progress in the dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina and the problems of the Serbian people in Kosovo and Metohija.

Deputy Director of the Serbian Government Office for Kosovo and Metohija Dušan Kozarev said that the Pristina Chief negotiator, Edita Tahiri tried again to confuse the public, inventing unconvincing excuses for non-implementation of the agreement on the establishment of the A/CSM.  "With invented excuses Tahiri tried to hide the fact that the deadline for all actions envisaged by the agreement on the establishment of the Association / Community of Serb municipalities (A/CSM) has been breached, long time ago.

Serbs in Kosovo must start establishing the Community of Serb Municipalities (ZSO), according to Civic Initiative SDP leader Oliver Ivanovic.

Ethnic Albanians' opposition to the formation of this community, agreed on during the EU-sponspored Belgrade-Pristina talks, "will subside only when they realize that it will be formed with or without them," Ivanovic said in a letter he wrote in prison.

UK Ambassador to Pristina, Ruairi O'Connell and President of the Serbian List, Slavko Simić discussed the current issues and problems in Kosovo.

The Assosiation/Community of Serb municipalities does not represent a threat and implementation of the agreements is of general interest, they agreed.
