NUNS condemned “discriminatory attitude” of Srpska Lista, seeks Simic’s apology (KoSSev portal)

Independent Association of Journalists of Serbia (NUNS) in the strongest terms condemned the attitude of Srpska Lista toward journalists and media, KosSev portal reported today.

NUNS called upon the leadership of the Srpska Lista “to apologize to the journalists and the public over the irresponsible and insulting attitude of Igor Simic, who is on behalf of the Srpska Lista responsible to cooperate with the media (…)”. KoSSev further reported that Igor Simic boycotts the KoSSev portal and for more than four months does not respond to the calls and mails from this portal. According to the KoSSev, Simic confirmed that he boycotts the portal saying “if he would be KoSSev, he would rather ask how it is possible that Srpska Lista has cooperation with more than 270 media outlets, but does not have cooperation with the KoSSev”. Budimir Nicic, the President of the Association of Journalists of Serbia in Kosovo, also said that the attitude of the Srpska Lista representatives toward journalists, media outlets and citizens is “unrecorded in the recent history,” KoSSev reported. Nicic added they ignore “most of the media and journalists” and Srpska Lista “does it on a daily basis”. Editor of Black-White World platform Sonja Sovrlic also said there is no sufficient communication between Srpska Lista and the media, and that communication mainly goes “through press statements,” KoSSev portal reported.
