Thaci announced “concrete results” in Ivanovic murder probe (Politika, RTK2)
Investigative bodies would soon present concrete results in Ivanovic murder probe, Kosovo President Hashim Thaci said in a press conference, Belgrade-based daily Politika reported.
He added he monitors the work of bodies working to shed the light on who were the order givers and killers, and he spoke about this recently with the Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic, RTK 2 reported.
“This is a criminal-mafia act, without clear information on a political motive. Any possibility of it having an ethnic motive is excluded. I also spoke about this with the President Vucic and Serbia expressed readiness to help Kosovo institutions in exchange of information related to Ivanovic murder,” Thaci said according to the Serbian media.
“In order to obtain relevant information, Kosovo institutions, leading the investigation closely cooperate with KFOR, and we use all possibilities to find evidence that point out the perpetrators of this criminal act,” he added.
RTK also reported, Thaci said he insists on the continuation of a dialogue with Belgrade, adding that since talks in Brussels there were no ethnically motivated incidents.
“Serbs and Albanians in Kosovo want peace, dialogue and prosperity,” he said, and invited displaced persons to return to Kosovo, Serbian media reported.
