“Whenever dialogue continues, provocation appears” (RTS, Tanjug, B92, Politika)

It is not the first time that when a dialogue in Brussels continues, something happens on the ground to intentionally provoke and divert us from the main goal – talks about the Association of the Serb Municipalities, Secretary General of the Serbian President, Nikola Selakovic told media commenting on the arrest of a returnee, Milorad Zajic in Klina under charges of alleged war crimes. Selakovic also recalled the arrest of Bogdan Mitrovic from Suva Reka municipality last year, who was visiting his place of origin for the last ten years. “After several months someone pointed a finger at him and said – this man has committed a war crime. At the end, it turned out it was an Albanian, who usurped his land,” Selakovic told RTS. Now, a returnee who was in Kosovo for the last ten years is arrested, most probably “because someone pointed a finger at him.” Selakovic added that all this happens in the presence of EULEX, which should build the rule of law system in Kosovo. Meanwhile, the Serbian Government Office for Kosovo requested an immediate release of arrested Zajic, adding he and his family can count on any possible support from the office and Serbian state. The Office for Kosovo assessed that justice system in Kosovo more openly serves “to injustice and vile plans” to disable any thoughts of expelled Serbs to return to their places of origin. The Office added that the most vulnerable people, those who have lost everything or almost everything are becoming targets of secret indictments for alleged war crimes and some doubtful and unreliable witnesses who suddenly regained their memories, which makes the acts of judicial bodies in Kosovo and their order givers “in particular disgusting”. The Office also said that maintaining an “environment of intimidation and inflaming a collective psychosis and hatred towards Serbs” whose only wish is to live in peace could discourage potential returnees to come back to Kosovo, thus destroying any chance to create a normal society in Kosovo, Politika daily reported.
