Civic Initiative SDP: Three months since Oliver Ivanovic murder, investigation without results (Serbian media)
Civic Initiative Freedom, Democracy, Justice (GI SDP) issued a press release reminding the public that today is three months since the assassination of their leader, Oliver Ivanovic, and the investigation has not yielded any results yet, Serbian media reported.
GI SDP said they have been asking on a daily basis responsible authorities “who killed Oliver Ivanovic, but there is no answer, and there are no suspects or detainees”.
GI SDP also said they would begin the action of signing of a petition tomorrow, so that the pedestrian zone or Sutjeska Street in Mitrovica North, in which Ivanovic was killed, would be named after him.
“After unsuccessful attempts to raise the issue of security in the Municipal Assembly and the initiative to name the street in which Oliver Ivanovic was killed after him, we have decided to start the action of signing of a petition tomorrow,” the GI SDP statement said.
Meanwhile, RTV KIM reported that on the occasion of three months since the assassination of Oliver Ivanovic, this morning in Mitrovica North and Gracanica on several locations, graffiti with his image and inscription “OLIVER” were placed on the facades.
The graffiti depicts his portrait from the courtroom, when he was looking over his shoulder, smiling. According to RTV Kim, the selections of this scene obviously points to the court process through which Ivanovic passed and stresses the fact that he was shot in the back with six bullets.
RTV KIM further said the same graffiti appeared in several places in Pristina – on student dorms, hospital, in a roundabout in the city centre.
TV N1 reported that the same graffiti have appeared during the night in several towns in Serbia- Nis, Krusevac and Kraljevo.
