The management team about the economic part of the Draft Statute of the ZSO (Blic)
The management team for the establishment of the Community/Association of Serb Municipalities met directors of the largest business entities from the north of Kosovo and the Dean of the Faculty of Economics at Pristina University with a temporary headquarters in North Mitrovica on creating conditions for a more dynamic development of Serb-majority municipalities, reported Serbian media.
The management team, in accordance with the fact that the Association of Serb Municipalities, according to the agreements reached in Brussels, has, inter alia, the competence to exercise full control in the field of economic development of local communities, heard the suggestions of the experts, and evaluated them as useful and constructive, reads a statement of the Management Team.
The interlocutors concluded that uninterrupted economic development was an important prerequisite for the survival of the Serbian people, whereby views are exchanged on the structure of the Draft Statute of the ZSO, in parts related to economic development.
The Dean of the Faculty of Economics at Pristina University with temporary headquarters in Mitrovica North, Tanja Vujovic, stressed an economic autonomy as a necessary companion to the Serbs' struggle for collective rights, that is, a collective exposed to economic pressures cannot effectively defend its political and human rights.
The meeting was attended by the first man of the Trepca combine in the north, Jovan Dimkic and the director of the hydroelectric power plant Gazivode Srdjan Vulovic.
