Mustafa and Haradinaj meet (Telegrafi)
Isa Mustafa, leader of the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK), and Ramush Haradinaj, leader of the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo (AAK) have met in Pristina today to discuss the election process and its aftermath.
Asked by Klan Kosova if he will withdraw from his insistence to become prime minister, Haradinaj said now is not the right time to discuss the matter. Mustafa on the other hand said he would not insist on the post in a possible coalition.
Mustafa and Haradinaj neither denied nor confirmed a possible unified opposition front that would block a third mandate for the Thaci-led Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK). They said they would wait for certified election results by the Central Election Commission (CEC) in order to see how many MPs they will get.
Meanwhile, the LDK and the Vetevendosje Movement have agreed not to enter a coalition with the PDK, after a meeting that Mustafa and Vetevendosje’s Kurti had this morning at LDK headquarters. Vetevendosje senior official Erzen Vraniqi told Klan Kosova that Kurti will meet AAK leader Haradinaj to discuss the possibility of him refusing a coalition with the PDK.
