Mustafa listens to his party, accepts candidacy for Prime Minister (Koha)
Isa Mustafa, leader of the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK), is determined to meet his party’s request for him to be the coalition’s candidate for the post of Prime Minister. Mustafa told Tirana-based Top Channel on Sunday that he expects partners of the coalition to understand the leading role of the LDK. “We will continue to explore all avenues for the coalition bloc to continue its work because we have the majority. Within the bloc we will certainly have to discuss all open issues … The position of the LDK is that we need to discuss and find understanding inside the bloc for the LDK to have the post of Prime Minister. This is a matter of an internal agreement, but this is our position,” Mustafa said. The LDK leader also said that “in the next couple of days we should have a final decision on our future actions because we want to clarify all issues before going to the Assembly session”.
