Bahtiri guarantees peace for everyone in Suhadoll/Suvi Do (Kosovapress)
I will be very persistent that no citizen in this part feels insecure and concerned about anything. If it is needed I will be here 24 hours a day until there is absolute peace. I call on all citizens regardless of ethnicity to contribute in the direction of cooperation, well-being and good neighborliness, because we need this now and, in the future.
Mayor of Mitrovica, Agim Bahtiri, made these comments today in North Mitrovica, after the attack at the healthcare facility of Suhadoll/Suvi Do which is mostly used by Serb citizens.
He condemned any violent attack from whoever that might be, while he called for calmness and not to deteriorate the situation.
Bahtiri guaranteed Serb inhabitants of Suhadoll/Suvi Do that he will be available for them 24 hours a day with all relevant authorities to preserve the peace in this part.
He also called his counterpart from the North Mitrovica, Goran Rakic, to contribute to peace for all citizens indiscriminately with a statement.
On the other hand Kosovapress has tried to get in touch with the mayor of North Mitrovica, Goran Rakic, and with the police in the North, to find out more about the attack, but it was not possible.
On the other hand, the healthcare facility of Suhadoll/Suvi Do is suspected to have been hit with stones during the night, one part of the windows has been damaged, but no injuries are reported.
