Opposition with dilemma on whether to send Thaci’s election to the Constitutional Court (Gazeta Blic)

The three opposition parties, Vetevendosje movement, the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo (AAK), and the Initiative for Kosovo (NISMA), have not decided yet on whether to send the case of Hashim Thaci’s election for president to the Constitutional Court. A senior official from the opposition, who preferred to remain anonymous, said that they are assessing all the documentation. “We have concluded that there was violation of the procedure during Hashim Thaci’s election for president, however the issue is that we are facing a dilemma over the reliability of this Court,” said the senior official.

However, the opposition political parties did not give any detail with regards to this issue. Hashim Thaci was elected president of Kosovo on Friday of the last week, while opposition contested his election. He was elected on the third round of voting.
