Montenegrin request first ratification then measuring of the border (Insjaderi)
Slobodan Vujičić, head of the Association of the Montenegrins of Kosovo, said during the roundtable held today that the agreement between Kosovo and Montenegro on the demarcation of the border, should be initially ratified at the Assembly, then both parties should create a commission that would re- measure the border. He added that solution of this matter should not be political being that Podgorica has expressed readiness to make the required measurements once again.
Shpejtim Bulliqi from the Democratic League of Kosovo, said that the state commission has violated all the foreseen procedures in the Constitution of Kosovo. “The state commission made mistakes in three aspects: the International Law (wrong methodology was used), the cartographic aspect, and at the same time it made mistakes on the basic cadastral criteria,” Bulliqi said.
Vetevendosje MP, Ismajl Kurteshi, said that the border should be set based on facts. “And there are many facts that prove that the border is not now where it used to be. We are not ready to give away even an inch of land to Montenegro, each has its own territory,” Kurteshi said.
Shaip Muja from the Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK), called on opposition parties to present their facts on the roundtable of the 3 August. He requested recommendations prior to sending the agreement for ratification. “We do not have official material and we are all causing dilemma without knowing precisely what is the concern,” Muja said.
