Vučić, Nikolić, Mustafa and Thaçi on a dinner (Blic)
The dialogue on the normalization of relations between Belgrade and Pristina under the auspices of the European Union (EU) continues today in Brussels, with the participation of presidents and prime ministers of Kosovo and Serbia.
In the new round of dialogue that had been scheduled by EU High Representative Federica Mogherini. The President and the Prime Minister of Serbia Tomislav Nikolić and Aleksandar Vučić, the President and Prime Minister of Kosovo, Hashim Thaçi and Isa Mustafa will be present.
As Blic learns from diplomatic sources, it is planned that before the joint talks, two delegations will have separate meetings with the head of European diplomacy Federica Mogherini.
- First, will meet with Serbia's delegation, then with Pristina. After these separate meetings, a working dinner is planned of both delegations with representatives of Brussels - said Blic's source.
Blic reports that the talks are scheduled at 7 pm, and a dinner at 8 pm.
- There is going to be talk and about the continuation of dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina, as well as on the implementation of the agreed so far - says Blic's source.
The official agenda of the meeting was not disclosed, and in Brussels, said that recent events "emphasize the need for stronger engagement" between Belgrade and Pristina, and that "progress in the normalization of relations between Kosovo and Serbia is of key importance for the sides, the EU and the whole of the Western Balkans".
Ahead of today's meeting in Brussels, Serbian Prime Minister Aleksandar Vučić said that he did not expect much, but that he expected the situation to calm.
On the other hand, Kosovo officials said that today's round of talks in Brussels would be "the beginning of the final phase of the dialogue."
