SLS: We do not fight for majority, but for principles (KIM Radio, Kontakt Plus Radio)
Autonomous Liberal Party (SLS) has started election campaign with a press conference in Gracanica yesterday, Serbian media reported. The leader of the SLS, Slobodan Petrovic said the party does not fight for the majority, but for the justice and principles.
Economic and agricultural development, support to the civil society, participation of citizens in decision-making, preservation of identity and cultural heritage, as well as remain of Serbs in Kosovo, are some of the priorities of the SLS.
SLS that exists for more than a decade, does not have a candidate for a mayor, and its members would compete for municipal assemblies’ members only.
Such decision was made due to a negative experience during the earlier election process when candidates of SLS were subjected to pressure and blackmails, SLS leader Slobodan Petrovic claims, Serbian media reported.
Petrovic further added the SLS “does not have the support of any government, but it has support from the citizens. He said that Gracanica municipality is the centre of criminal, nepotism and “everything that is bad”.
SLS has 18 candidates competing for the municipal assemblies’ members in the municipalities of Gracanica, Novo Brdo, Ranilug, Gnjilane, Vucitrn and Obilic, Serbian media reported.
