Kurti for NIN: "ZSO - dead letter on paper; Serbs to turn to more moderate Serb parties" (Kontakt plus radio, Danas, N1)

I am aware of the pressures Serbs are experiencing from Serbia's parallel structures in Kosovo, one of which is the Serbian List, but the Serb community in Kosovo should gain strength and rebuild behind the more moderate Serb parties and politicians in Kosovo, Self-determination leader Albin Kurti said in an interview with Belgrade based weekly NIN.

N1: Kosovo Serb List ignores invitation to election campaign debate

The Serb List ignored an invitation for a debate attended by other Kosovo Serb parties at the start of the campaign for the October 6 parliamentary elections.

All three Kosovo Serb parties and one coalition were invited to the debate in Caglavica. Officials of the Freedom (Sloboda) coalition, Party of Kosovo Serbs and Serb Liberal Party showed up for the debate. The Serb List which has the support of official Belgrade did not show up.

A Serb CEC member Stevan Veselinovic addressed the media on September 10, stating that he "left the CEC session not wanting to participate in the work of this institution as long as illegal decisions are made", after the CEC decision that voters cannot use Serbian identity cards when casting their ballots in the upcoming elections, KIM radio reports.

Oliver Ivanovic's nephew said on Thursday the family told the Election Commission in Pristina they were against the usage of the late leader’s name on any election ticket, regional broadcaster N1 reported.

Radio Free Europe writes that the Serbian community would have a possibility to choose who to vote for in the upcoming elections in Kosovo, given that no Serbian political party responded to a call of Srpska Lista for united participation.

The leader of Independent Liberal Party (SLS) Slobodan Petrovic wrote an open letter to the Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic following Vucic’s claims that Petrovic allegedly voted in favor of the Kosovo platform for dialogue with Serbia and the formation of the Kosovo army as well as that he has organized “One in Five Million” protests in Gracanica, KoSSev portal reports

Jevtic: SLS is already in government (RTK2, KoSSev)

Commenting on allegations that Independent Liberal Party (SLS) could become part of the Kosovo Government in the upcoming period, outgoing Minister for Communities and Returns and Deputy Prime Minister Dalibor Jevtic said that SLS is already part of the government, and the issue of allocation of ministers’ post is a question for the Kosovo Prime Minister, RTK2 reports.

He added “that those criticizing Serbian List (SL) should go out and visit the people on the ground and before throwing a stone at somebody, they should also say what they had done.”
