Simic: First the Community/Association of Serb municipalities then other issues (RTS, TV Most, KIM radio)
The extraordinary session of the Kosovo Assembly scheduled for yesterday was postponed in order to ensure the presence of the majority of MPs required for the ratification of the agreement on the demarcation with Montenegro.
The postponement was requested by Kosovo President Hashim Thaci and Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj.
Kosovo MP and spokesman of the Serbian List Igor Simic says to Radio Television of Serbia (RTS) that the main issue for the Serbs is the Community of Serbian municipalities (ZSO), and the issue of demarcation is something that should be resolved in future.
“When it comes to the demarcation issue, it is of utmost importance for the Albanians but not so important for us. We are waiting for ZSO for 1,767 days already, and we are waiting for the fulfilment of other points of the coalition agreement in order to improve the life of Serbs in Kosovo –this is what Serbian List wants to talk about, a demarcation may one day come to the Agenda”, says Simic to RTS.
He explains further that there are indeed enough votes for ratification of the Agreement on demarcation, but that they want Serb participation in order to manifest the multi-ethnic character.
“For us, this issue should be addressed and discussed in future, but not now. First ZSO – then other issues”, Simic says.
On allegations about the formation of the Kosovo Army, Simic says that in Kosovo, according to Resolution 1244, KFOR is the only legitimate armed force and will remain so. Simic says that the attitude of the Serbian List will not change, and confirms that Serbian List is absolutely against the Kosovo Army.
