Jeremic: Agreement means one thing only – giving Kosovo seat in UN (BETA)
Comprehensive agreement with Albanians means one thing only, giving Kosovo a seat in the UN, the leader of Peoples’ Party Vuk Jeremic told BETA news agency.
Jeremic added the Peoples’ Party would do its utmost to prevent that from happening.
“There is nothing else in that comprehensive agreement apart from right to Kosovo to become a UN member. If they get a seat in the UN, Albanians would never sit at the table and negotiate on important matters, such as property and Serbian monasteries,” Jeremic said, commenting on Serbian President Vucic’s statement that “there should be a broad consensus and a will of majority of the society for a comprehensive agreement.”
Jeremic went on saying there is “personal interest” of Aleksandar Vucic to give Kosovo a seat in the UN, as he wishes to get three or four years more to do whatever he wants in Serbia, and that must not be allowed.
