BiH Presidency Member from Republika Srpska Mladen Ivanic: I'm pleased that Pacolli did not come to Banja Luka (Serbian media)
BiH Presidency Member from Republika Srpska (RS) Mladen Ivanic says today that that he is not dissatisfied at all, as far as he is concerned, that Kosovo Foreign Minister Behgjet Pacolli did not come to Banja Luka to an informal meeting of the Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the South East European Cooperation Process (SEECP), reports Serbian media.
Participants in the process of co-operation have been identified by members of the SEECP, and adds that Pristina has been a member of this process since 2014, along with, as he points out, the consent of all.
"The fact that the two acquaintances, President of Republika Srpska Milorad Dodik and Behgjet Pacolli made a spectacle, to tell you the truth, I do not mind that. I am pleased that he (Pacolli) did not come to Banja Luka," said Ivanic.
He said, however, that the result of all this, is that a number of people who could come, decided not to come.
Serbian Foreign Minister Ivica Dacic said today that Serbia did not interfere in the arrival of Kosovo's foreign minister Behgjet Pacolli to Banja Luka, while, according to the president of the Republika Srpska, Milorad Dodik, his arrival was unacceptable because Pacolli is "an enemy of the Serbian people".
Dacic added that no one asked Serbia about Pacolli's invitation to a meeting of heads of diplomats of the member states of the South-East European Co-operation Process and said that Pacolli, regardless of the invitation, comes to various gatherings.
"Pacolli, however, is using every opportunity to appear somewhere, where he can tell his stories, so he recently talked about a genocide in Dubrovnik, but such things he can tell when I'm not there. So that is why I came to Banja Luka," said Dacic.
The head of Serbian diplomacy added that Pacolli was scared of it.
"He has constantly complained that he does not have BiH visa, it must be clear to him that BiH will not recognize Kosovo, because the RS does not recognize him," Dacic said.
About the invitation to Pacolli, Dodik says, about which, as he said, the president of the National Assembly of the Republika Srpska Igor Crnadak and member of the BiH Presidency Mladen Ivanic were silent, said that it was "an act of betrayal of Serbia's national interest".
"This is one marionette and a criminal system directed against Srpska (RS), Serbia and the Serbian people. I reject any possibility of his visit to the institutions of Srpska (RS). He will not use our capacities in any form," Dodik said.
He points out that he was not called or consulted about Pacolli's invitation, reports Serbian media.
