"Given framework'' placed on the table in front of Belgrade and Pristina? (B92, Vecernje Novosti)
According to the Belgrade daily daily Vecernje Novosti, in that "given framework", there will be room for possible "amendments".
This should speed up the closure of the Kosovo issue, according to Western leaders, reports the daily.
Vecernje Novosti writes that at the Paris summit, if it comes to it, could be revealed what is among these "recommendations".
The daily reminds that in 2005, the Contact Group established three basic principles for the negotiations on the status of Kosovo: that there is no division of Kosovo, no return to the situation before 1999 and there is no merging of Kosovo with neighboring countries.
Milovan Bozinovic, former ambassador of Serbia in Berlin and Vienna, believes that the behavior of current key actors in the negotiation process may give the impression that a framework for dialogue on the final solution already exists and that both parties are under pressure to comply with these guidelines.
On the occasion of the White House message that Belgrade and Pristina leave aside the extremist rhetoric and work on an agreement that focuses on "mutual recognition", Bozinovic says that if the tax is abolished and the dialogue continues, Serbia should not allow a start of a new story, before the Brussels Agreement is implemented and the Community of Serbian municipalities (ZSO) is formed.
''It would be a mistake to make a compromise on what has already been signed. Serbia looking for executive autonomy for ZSO isn't a big thing. If they give in here, it would only further increase the appetites of Albanians," Bozinovic said.
A diplomat, Zoran Milivojevic believes that in the current circumstances it is difficult to continue talks if the initial position is Brussels agreement and the formation of the ZSO. He believes that negotiations will continue on the basics and principles for a legally binding agreement and a final solution.
