Finance Minister: Four percent economic growth this year (Klan Kosova)

Finance Minister, Avdullah Hoti, said that the government of Kosovo expects to close the year with 4 percent economic growth and the estimates are that this figure will be even higher in 2017. “We have a significant improvement in tax payment,” said Hoti in the meeting of the parliamentary commission on budget and finance.  He added that if progress is made in projects including energy and the Trepca mining complex, “we can rest assured that the economic growth will be much higher.”

The Prime Minister of Kosovo, Isa Mustafa, said that full commitment of his government to focus on economic development, has given and it will continue to give powerful results. Citing the figures of the World Bank, Mustafa said that economic growth in Kosovo during 2015 has reached 3.6 percent. According to Mustafa, this is considerable growth compared to the other countries of the region.
