The Presidency of the Association of Kosovo Historians ‘Ali Hadri’, the Decani branch, harshly reacted to statements by, as they assessed, an anti-Albanian priest – Abbot Sava Janjic, who has been serving in the Albanian Orthodox monastery of Decani, a monastery usurped by Serbian occupiers – since the medieval period. Аn incident occurred on Wednesday near the village of Zac, in the Klina municipality, when a group of local Albanians intercepted the vehicle of a local Serbian Orthodox priest Fr. Protests in Dečani/Deçan against the court decision (KIM Radio)

The leadership of Dečani/Deçan Municipality has called for protests on Thursday in that town due to the Constitutional Court’s decision that Visoki Dečani Monastery owns 24 hectares of land around that monastery, Pristina-based media informed.

The Mayor of Dečani/Deçan, Rasim Selmanaj, has called on protests through his Facebook account, and said that decision of the Constitutional Court is ‘unjust and influenced by politics’.
