Balla: Political deadlock is causing damages to the image of Kosovo (Radio Kosova)

Hungarian Ambassador in Kosovo, Loran Balla, says that political parties should find a solution for the political deadlock.

Hungary is engaged everywhere to help Kosovo in its state building and especially in integration processes in international mechanisms, but his country does not have at all in the agenda to interfere in solving of  political deadlock in Kosovo, said Hungarian Ambassador, Loran Balla, in an interview for Radio Kosova.

Jacobson promises support for Kosovo (Radio Kosova)

Kosovo Foreign Minister, Enver Hoxhaj welcomed on Friday in a meeting US Ambassador in Kosovo, Tracey Ann Jacobson. Minister Hoxhaj informed American Ambassador about the measures taken in relation with sanctions against Russian Federation, emphasizing commitment of Kosovo in relation with international responsibilities. Hoxhaj also praised evaluation of US State Department to include Kosovo in International Coalition against ISIS.

Ambassador Jacobson evaluated the progress in Kosovo, while expressing further US support about processes in Kosovo.

President Jahjaga requests from Armenia to recognize Kosovo (Radio Kosova)

Kosovo President, Atifete Jahjaga met with Armenian Foreign Minister, Edward Nallbandian. Jahjaga requested from Armenian Foreign minister requested recognition of Kosovo, while they discussed about international consolidation and processes in which Kosovo is going through. In the meeting with United States Ambassador-at-Large for Global Women's Issues, Kathrin Russell in New York, Jahjaga emphasized about efforts of Kosovo to help with reintegration and rehabilitation of survivors of sexual violence during the war.

Serbian List does not have the power to condition the bloc, says Vetevendosje (Radio Kosova)

After the reaction of Serbian List that negotiations Pristina – Belgrade not to be led by Vetevendosje movement, Vetevendosje says that Serb List does not have the power to condition coalition bloc. Organizational Secretary of Vetevendosje movement, Dardan Molliqaj said to Radio Kosova that the coalition of Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK), Alliance for the Future of Kosovo (AAK) , Initiative for Kosovo (NISMA) and Vetevendosje have Albanian majority in the Assembly and Serb List cannot influence in the braking of the achieved agreement few days ago.

Serbia hands over to Kosovo 22 mortal remains from mass grave in Rudnica (Radio Kosova)

Today at border crossing point between Kosovo and Serbia in Merdare will be done handover of 22 mortal remains found in mass grave of Rudnica, Municipality of Rashka. This information is confirmed from the head of Government Commission for Missing Persons, Prenk Gjetaj. The handover of mortal remains starts at 13:00 hours.

Braathu: Kosovo deputies should find a solution for political deadlock (Radio Kosova)

Norwegian Ambassador in Kosovo, Jan Braathu, said that Kosovo deputies should find a solution for political deadlock. Norwegian Ambassador hopes that Kosovo Assembly deputies understand that it should be found a constructive solution in order that political deadlock in Kosovo to come to the end. If they remain in their initial positions, “I am afraid that also in Friday there will  be no solution,” added Braathu.

President Jahjaga calls on institutions to fight corruption at every level (Radio Kosova)

Corruption damages democratic process and in particular hits on rule of law, said today Kosovo President Atifete Jahjaga in the round table with the topic “Fight of corruption“, organized from the Kosovo Institute for Justice. She called for corruption to stop and fight against corruption to take place at every level, central and municipal levels. Fight against corruption cannot be partial, it is comprehensive, because corruption is eating every life segment, said President Jahjaga.

Brovina: Preparations for assembly session will be finalized next week (RTV21)

Flora Brovina, MP from the Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK), who chaired the constitutive session of the Kosovo Assembly, told RTV21 that the session would not resume this week as preparations will be finalized next week. Brovina also suggested that the opposition bloc consisting of the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK), the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo (AAK) and the Initiative for Kosovo (NISMA) should not become nervous.

EU will reappoint international judges (Radio Kosova)

The Office of European Union in Kosovo has informed that it is finalizing arrangements about legal regulation and transition of the work of three international judges in Constitutional Court.

This way there is no uncertainty about the legal side and their legitimacy after 31 August, when it should have ended their mandate, according to the law that finalizes “supervised independence.”

Gerxhaliu withdraws from Rudnica case (Radio Kosova)

Director of Forensic Department, Arsim Gerxhaliu has withdrawn from Kosovo team that is dealing with exhumations of Rudnica, Municipality of Rashka.

Gerxhaliu has withdrawn with the reason that he has been prevented doing his job.

Gerxhaliu wrote in Facebook that he cannot do this job anymore. “For 15 years volunteering… withstand…, but interfering in my profession, I cannot stand it anymore,” wrote Gerxhaliu in Facebook.
