The trio blocking the state and leaving no solution but taking to the streets (Gazeta Blic)

It seems the political situation in Kosovo has no solution, remarks in an opinion piece editor-in-chief of the Gazeta Blic news website, Adrian Collaku. He says that the “unprecedented” blockade by the leader of the Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK), Hashim Thaci, the chairperson of the Kosovo Assembly session, Flora Brovina, and the President of Kosovo, Atifete Jahjaga, seems to leave no other option but to take to the streets.

Bloc representatives to attend meeting with Brovina (Epoka e Re)

Parties of the coalition bloc will finally accept the invitation to a meeting called by Flora Brovina, chairperson of Kosovo Assembly’s constitutive session. “The bloc will send its representatives to the meeting. Vjosa Osmani and Donika Kadaj-Bujupi will represent parties of the coalition bloc at the meeting called by Flora Brovina,” a member of the coalition bloc told Epoka e Re.

Haliti: PDK will again run with Arsim Bajrami (Gazeta Blic)

Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK) MP Xhavit Haliti said the chairperson of the Kosovo Assembly, Flora Brovina, interrupted today’s session based on the decision of the Constitutional Court. Haliti said the PDK would again run with Arsim Bajrami as candidate for the post of Assembly President. “There is no reason to seek the opinion of the Constitutional Court again. We will not change our candidate. I believe political leaders can speed up the establishment of institutions if they manage to find a formula that would be acceptable for all,” Haliti said.

LAN: No new elections, solution must be found in the Assembly (Koha)

Ramush Haradinaj, leader of the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo (AAK) and candidate of the opposition coalition for Prime Minister, said today that MPs need to find a solution to break the political deadlock. He said the coalition of the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK), the AAK and the Initiative for Kosovo (NISMA) does not want new elections. “This is not about new elections, this is about finding a solution in the Assembly,” Haradinaj said.

Brovina: Preparations for assembly session will be finalized next week (RTV21)

Flora Brovina, MP from the Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK), who chaired the constitutive session of the Kosovo Assembly, told RTV21 that the session would not resume this week as preparations will be finalized next week. Brovina also suggested that the opposition bloc consisting of the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK), the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo (AAK) and the Initiative for Kosovo (NISMA) should not become nervous.
