No disunity within the Serbian list (RTK2)

After a two-month break, Serbian MPs returned to the assembly, but were not present all parliamentarians of the list at the session held day before yesterday. Five deputies did not attend the Assembly session, a Serbian caucus in the Kosovo parliament, Sasa Milosavljevic, says RTK2 that these MPs were absent due to urgent commitments.

Milosavljevic also denies that there was disunity within this list.

After more than two months of boycott, the ministers and MPs from the Serbian list officially returned to the Assembly of Kosovo, since Kosovo Prime Minister Isa Mustafa instead of Aleksandar Jablanović appointed the new Minister for Communities and Returns, Dalibor Jevtic, who held that function in the previous mandate.

After two months of boycott due to the shift of the Minister for return, Aleksandar Jablanovic, representatives of Serbs from yesterday again are active in Kosovo institutions. The first test for implementing agreed in the functioning of the ruling coalition will be to establish working bodies to create documents of the Community of Serbian municipalities.

Priorities of the Serb representatives are appreciation of the coalition partners and strengthening of the Serb presence in the judiciary, police and other aspects of management.

European Union has welcomed the decision of the Kosovo Serb representatives to return to the Kosovo Assembly and the Government as an important step forward. “It confirms our strong belief that it is only through cooperation, inclusion and dialogue that the elected leaders can bring better future for all communities in Kosovo. We are committed to continue supporting such positive steps,” a press release issued by the EU states.

Dalibor Jevtic appointed Communities and Returns Minister (Koha)

Kosovo's Prime Minister, Isa Mustafa, today appointed Dalibor Jevtic in the post of Communities and Returns Minister in the government of Kosovo. Jevtic is a member of the Serbian List. "The Serbian List informed PM Mustafa that they will return actively in the Kosovo institutions as of 27 April," reads a press release issued by Mustafa's Office.

Koha reports that Kosovo’s Minister for Local Government and Administration, Ljubomir Maric has returned to Kosovo government to perform his duties, after around two months blockade following the dismissal of Communities and Returns Minister, Aleksandar Jablanovic.  Maric participated on Thursday in the ministerial meeting about Brezovica project.
