Radio Television Mir (RTV Mir) reported on educational workshops within the project "NO means NO"  that were held in the premises of Leposavic municipality, where the methods of self-defense and the help of psychologists were presented, as a part of the ways of how Kosovo youth fights to reduce the number of cases of violence.

The Kosova Women’s Network published a report that analyzes institutional response to gender-based violence in Kosovo.

Kosovo Police need advanced trainings for police and prosecutors to handle domestic violence cases, argues a new report by the Kosovo Women’s Network, KWN, published on Monday.

The report, titled “From Words to Action?” examines the handling of gender-based violence cases by local institutions.

Doctors have not only a moral but also a legal obligation to report and record gender-based violence, reports RTV Mir.

This is regulated by the special protocol of the Ministry of Health, which came into force last year in order to strengthen health centers in providing support to survivors of violence.

The United Nations Population Fund organized last year training for doctors of health centers in four municipalities in northern Kosovo, reports RTV Mir.

On the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women, the head of EULEX, Alexandra Papadopoulou, confirmed EULEX’s commitment to advance and strengthen gender aspects in all of its activities, both within the Mission and in its engagement with Kosovo institutions. In a press release issued at the start of 16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence Campaign, Papadopoulou also observed that a staggering amount of women in Kosovo still experience some form of physical, sexual or psychological violence in their lifetime.
