Mogherini in Pristina on 26 March (Telegrafi)

Isa Mustafa, Prime Minister of Kosovo, informed today during the government meeting that the European Union High Representative, Frederica Mogherini, will be visiting Kosovo on 26 March.

Mustafa also informed that the government will meet on Monday with the Council of Ministers from Albania.

The Prime Minister also informed that the Government will be presenting the package of the draft laws for human rights.

"The condition of the Serbian list is community of Serbian municipalities" (Blic, Vecernje Novosti, B92)

A condition for the return of Serb representatives to the Kosovo institutions is the formation of a Community/Association of Serb municipalities (ZSO) in Kosovo.

The Belgrade-based daily, Vecernje Novosti further writes that this will be "one of the main conclusions" of the upcoming joint session of all Serb municipalities in Kosovo.

Another daily, Blic, writes that Serbian officials will once again ask Pristina to fulfil its part of the obligations stemming from the Brussels agreement during the next negotiating round at the EU seat.

Djuric: Serbs will not return to the Kosovo institutions (RTS, Blic, Tanjug)

Djuric made the announcement after meeting with representatives of Serbs from Kosovo, attended and by the Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic, adding that the next week will be held an emergency meeting with the representatives of the Serbian municipalities, to discuss actions after dismissal of Minister Aleksandar Jablanovic and "political humiliation of Serbian people."

Government nominates three additional deputy ministers (Telegrafi)

The government of Kosovo nominated on Thursday three additional deputy ministers; Besa Zogaj, at the Ministry for Economic Development, Rita Hajzeraj, the Ministry of Work and Social Welfare and Vazir Jonuzaj, at the Ministry of Agriculture. The spokesperson of the government, Arban Abrashi, confirmed the news.

The government of Kosovo has not completed the process of the nomination of deputy ministers yet.

The government decides to establish Employment Fund (Tribuna)

The government of Kosovo has decided to establish the fund for investment and for employment. The government decided during the today’s meeting, create a commission which would draft the concept of the document for the investment and employment fund and development fund.

According to the Deputy Prime Minister Kujtim Shala, the development fund will help on opening new jobs and it will improve the wellbeing of the people of Kosovo.

Minister Tahiri is visiting Brussels (Gazeta Express)

Upon the invitation of the European Union, Minister for Dialogue of the government of Kosovo, Edita Tahiri is staying in Brussels where yesterday she had meetings with representatives of the European Union engaged in dialogue in Brussels. The central topic of the discussions was the assessment of achievements to date and determining priorities for the progress of dialogue in Brussels in the following stage.

How many people have to die…? (Kosova Sot)

The paper’s front page editorial today blames the government of Kosovo about the death of a Kosovo Albanian two-year-old child who died in an asylum camp in Hungary. The paper writes that Kosovo institutions are responsible for people fleeing Kosovo to seek better future in European Union countries. “This death is a direct accusation against those responsible for the degradation of Kosovo, where, there is no welfare, no equality and no fairness.” According to the paper, the bad governance destroyed the hopes of people that one day things will get better in Kosovo.

Kosovo government approves four-year programme (Kosovapress)

Government of Kosovo in today’s meeting approved the four-year programme. Prime Minister Isa Mustafa said on the occasion that the programme will offer hope for all the people of Kosovo. Mustafa also announced that the upcoming joint meeting of Kosovo and Albania governments will take place on 23 March and that before this time, Albanian Foreign Minister Ditmir Bushati will visit Pristina.

Lumir Abdixhiku writes that the seventh anniversary of Kosovo’s independence must have been the grimmest day, adding however that this was expected under the current circumstances. He writes that two mandates of the seized state were enough, and that the third one brought the exhausted Kosovo into its knees. He claims that there is coldness between the population and the government. “I do not remember to have seen a more sterile relation,” he writes adding that this lack of energy has led to the differentiation between the citizen and the state.
