 Veseli: Kosovo is contributor of stability in the region (lajmi)

The president of the Assembly of Kosovo, Kadri Veseli, hosted a meeting with the chiefs of the missions of the EU member states accredited to Kosovo.

 After the meeting he held a press conference where he spoke about Kosovo’s path towards the EU.

He said that Kosovo is contributor of the stability in Balkans and that Kosovo’s path is integration in the EU.

Kosovo Assembly President Kadri Veseli said today that the situation regarding Serbia’s train was an “artificial provocation” and urged the people of Kosovo to have more faith in their institutions. “The situation is serious but people should feel safe. Assembly decides to discuss Mitrovica wall on Friday (media)

Several news websites report that the Kosovo Assembly has decided to discuss on Friday the recently-built wall in Mitrovica North. Pal Lekaj, head of the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo (AAK) parliamentary group, initially suggested that the wall should be discussed today but later agreed for discussions to be held on Friday. Assembly President, Kadri Veseli, said he agrees with Prime Minister Isa Mustafa’s proposal to discuss the matter on Friday.

Veseli: Montenegro will address the EU on demarcation with Kosovo (Telegrafi)

Kosovo Assembly President, Kadri Veseli, said today that the people of Kosovo should not remain isolated due to the border demarcation with Montenegro. “We have talked with Montenegrin officials and they confirmed that they will send an official note to the European Union asking for the people of Kosovo not to remain isolated due to the border demarcation,” Veseli said. He also commented on the telephone code for Kosovo, saying that Kosovo’s independence and sovereignty cannot be reversed. “Kosovo will no longer have the 00-381 telephone code.

Veseli: Montenegro to address the EU on demarcation with Kosovo (Zeri)

Kosovo Assembly President Kadri Veseli said today that Montenegro will soon address the European Union regarding the border demarcation agreement with Montenegro. According to Veseli, Montenegro will do this because it does not want the citizens of Kosovo to remain isolated because of this issue. “We talked with Montenegrin officials, who have confirmed to us that they would approach the European Union with an official letter which will require that citizens of Kosovo should not remain isolated because of demarcation,” Veseli said.
