Heldt: Site in Novo Brdo only preserved, there would be no further works (KoSSev, Radio Gorazdevac)

German Ambassador in Pristina Christian Heldt commented on recent controversy related to changing the history that occurred after the Kosovo Ministry of Culture restoration of Saint Nikola Church in Novo Brdo, for which Serbian Orthodox Church and the Serbian Academy of Science and Arts said it is a part of the Orthodox heritage, represented as Catholic cathedral, KoSSev portal reported.

Serb from Novo Brdo beaten up (RTV Puls, Radio kontakt plus)

Serb S.I. (1970) from the village of Prekovce, Novo Brdo municipality was beaten up last night around 19.30 while entering the village, RTV Puls reports.

According to RTV Puls he was assaulted by the two Albanians from the nearby village of Mandalak, and one of them is at large.

“The police have identified the attackers and the search for them is ongoing,” Gnjilane regional police spokesperson Ismet Hashani told RTV Puls.

Gornje Kusce: Two cows and vehicle stolen (RTK2, Radio kontakt plus)

Two cows belonging to the Stajic family and a vehicle belonging to Dragan Kostic were stolen last night in the village of Gornje Kusce, Novo Brdo municipality, RTK2 reports.

Inhabitants from the village told RTK2 there were few more theft attempts last night. Around 1500 Serbs live in the village, and it is located 3 kilometres away from Gnjilane.

Protest in Novo Brdo over frequent thefts (KIM Radio)

More than 100 inhabitants of Novo Brdo, from Serbian, Albanian and Roma communities protested today in front of the police station in Bostane village due to frequent thefts in this area, KIM Radio reported.

There were six stealing cases of larger cattle this year and no one was held responsible. Police failed to find and prosecute perpetrators of thefts committed in earlier years as well.

Local priest from Bostane village, Stevo Mitric noted that all communities, Serbs, Albanians, Roma are affected by frequent thefts.

Office for KiM condemned new attack against Serb property (Tanjug, RTS)

The latest in a series of attacks against Serb properties in Novo Brdo obviously aims to intimidate the Serb population in this ethnically mixed area, Serbian Government Office for Kosovo and Metohija said, Tanjug news agency reported.

The Office statement came as a reaction on a recent theft of two cows owned by Markovic family, in the village of Zebince, Novo Brdo municipality.

Burglaries and thefts in Stanisor village (KIM Radio, RTV Puls)

Inhabitants of Stanisor village, Novo Brdo municipality, reported to the police, early this morning that eight burglaries and thefts occurred in the village, KIM Radio reported.

According to KIM Radio, three vehicles and professional music instruments were stolen, while in four burglaries nothing was stolen.

Inhabitants from the village found two stolen vehicles that stayed without fuel, while the search for the third one continues. The police conducted investigation this morning.
