Heldt: Site in Novo Brdo only preserved, there would be no further works (KoSSev, Radio Gorazdevac)

Serb from Novo Brdo beaten up (RTV Puls, Radio kontakt plus)

Serb S.I. (1970) from the village of Prekovce, Novo Brdo municipality was beaten up last night around 19.30 while entering the village, RTV Puls reports. According to RTV Puls he was assaulted by the two Albanians from the nearby village of Mandalak, and one of them is at large. “The police have identified the attackers and the search for them is ongoing,” Gnjilane regional police spokesperson Ismet Hashani told RTV Puls. Gornje Kusce: Two cows and vehicle stolen (RTK2, Radio kontakt plus)

Two cows belonging to the Stajic family and a vehicle belonging to Dragan Kostic were stolen last night in the village of Gornje Kusce, Novo Brdo municipality, RTK2 reports. Inhabitants from the village told RTK2 there were few more theft attempts last night. Around 1500 Serbs live in the village, and it is located 3 kilometres away from Gnjilane.

Protest in Novo Brdo over frequent thefts (KIM Radio)

More than 100 inhabitants of Novo Brdo, from Serbian, Albanian and Roma communities protested today in front of the police station in Bostane village due to frequent thefts in this area, KIM Radio reported. There were six stealing cases of larger cattle this year and no one was held responsible. Police failed to find and prosecute perpetrators of thefts committed in earlier years as well. Local priest from Bostane village, Stevo Mitric noted that all communities, Serbs, Albanians, Roma are affected by frequent thefts. “We just want minimal conditions to live normally.
