There never was nor will there ever be any trade with the Kosovo issue when Russia is concerned, Russian Ambassador to Serbia Alexander Chepurin said adding that the UN's Resolution 1244 remains the only basis for a political solution to the Kosovo issue.
Ambassador of Russia to Belgrade Alexander Chepurin met yesterday the head of the UN Mission in Kosovo (UNMIK) Zahir Tanin. Chepurin told Tanin that Russia counts that the UN will take all measures to investigate the recent attack on a Russian citizen, UNMIK's official Mikhail Krasnoshchekov, reported Belgrade based daily Blic, quoting Chepurin's post on Twitter.
President Aleksandar Vucic and Russian Ambassador Alexander Chepurin discussed on Tuesday the organization of Vucic's meeting with President Vladimir Putin.
Vucic and Vladimir Putin are scheduled to meet in Beijing during the Belt and Road forum. Vucic said today that he is honored to be meeting again with Putin.
He said that this would be their 16th meeting, the second this year, and that he will be pleased to talk with the president of Russia about bilateral cooperation in all areas, as well as the situation in the region, the president’s press office has announced.
Serbia and the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) should sign an agreement on setting up a free trade zone in October this year. Eurasian Economic Commission board member Veronika Nikishina said this on Thursday, Tanjug is reporting, citing TASS.
"This year we concluded negotiations with Serbia and are now launching the procedure for the signing of this agreement. We hope to sign it in October," Nikishina said at an international conference in Astana.
Kosovo issue is rather complex, and it is impossible to find a solution to it overnight, Russian Ambassador to Serbia, Alexander Chepurin said on Saturday. He added the platform Pristina has recently adopted was completely unrealistic and that, at the current moment, the only solution according to the international law was the UN Security Council Resolution 1244.
Russian Ambassador in Belgrade Alexander Chepurin wrote on Twitter yesterday that Pristina’s dialogue platform for negotiations with Belgrade is a list of ultimatums and demands, FoNet news agency reported.
He added that the platform is a clear rejection of the dialogue to resolve the Kosovo issue. Ambassador Chepurin also noted that Pristina won’t be able to sustain the pressure with that platform, adding that fantasies can’t be in line with a reality.
Ambassador of Russian Federation to Serbia Alexander Chepurin said Russia supports neutral stance of Serbia and peaceful resolution of Kosovo issues based on respecting the international law, Tanjug news agency reported.
He made these remarks last night at the Russian Embassy during the ceremony to mark the Day of Fatherland Defenders.
“Serbia would have enough strength and patience to stand temptations,” Ambassador Chepurin noted.
Russian Federation Ambassador to Serbia Alexander Chepurn said that the free trade zone between Serbia and Eurasian Economic Union would soon be established and it only remains that the decision is confirmed at Intergovernmental Council, RTS reports.
Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic met with Russian Federation Ambassador to Serbia, Alexander Chepurin, who handed over to him a letter from the Russian President Vladimir Putin, sent on the occasion of Serbia’s Statehood Day, Danas daily reports.
In a letter, the Russian President said that “Russia highly values strategic partnership and relations with Serbia,” and “with satisfaction emphasizes that cooperation between the two countries evolves dynamically in the most diverse areas.”
Serbian Minister of Defense, Aleksandar Vulin met today Russian Ambassador to Serbia Alexander Chepurin, Radio Television of Vojvodina reports.
Vulin thanked Russian Federation for supporting Serbia’s territorial integrity and efforts to finding a compromise solution for Kosovo and Metohija, as well as consistent and firm support to Serbia in the UN Security Council, whenever the interests of Serbia were jeopardized.
